This page provides guidelines for NESDIS employees and NESDIS
contractors seeking U.S. Embassy clearance for official foreign travel.
By Federal law, all U.S. Government employees and contractors traveling
overseas on official Government business must notify the U.S.
Department of State of traveler's presence within a foreign country.
These cables notify the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C.,
U.S. Embassies and post officers abroad of traveler's proposed presence
in a foreign country. Listed below are links to web sites that may be
helpful in planning your travel. Please be advised that country
clearance requests are to be submitted to the International &
Interagency Affairs Office no later than 4 weeks prior to travel.
Please send country clearance forms or inquiries to Nesdis.Clearances@noaa.gov
